About Bright Star Learning Center

History

Bright Star Learning Center of Marikina, Inc. was founded in the summer of 1994 in response to the growing needs of the community who have been sending their little ones to the known schools in the Quezon City area. Its establishment was an answer to the wishes of many parents who wanted quality education for their children.

Classes started in April of 1994 with 63 pupils. The following year, enrolled students went up to 120. From then on, students steadily increased necessitating the construction of another school building in a much bigger venue, which is now its current location 23 N. Roxas St., cor. Calderon St., Kalumpang, Marikina City.

On June 14, 2000, Bright Star Learning Center of Marikina, Inc. acquired its government permit issued by DEP-ED.

By 2002, Bright Star Learning Center of Marikina, Inc. has been recognized by the government of Marikina City.

Bright Star Learning Center of Marikina City Inc., believe in the total Christian Development of the child based on S.P.I.S.E. (Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Social and Emotional)

We believe that the child should know and love God at an early age, for that is the basic in character-building. This must be coupled with nationalism and love of country.

Accepting the child for what he/she is, is very important, for no two persons are exactly alike, so we have to accept each child as a unique human being.

Careful planning of activities for preschool children must be given emphasis to inculcate good and positive habits, attitudes and academic skills to prepare the children to attain self-confidence and discipline as they are prepared for the elementary grades.

With these things in mind, the school also helps to produce quality and globally competitive citizens in the future.
